“Oh no he isn’t...oh yes he is!” - Welsh personality and presenter Wynne Evans has been unveiled as this year’s villain for The Big Pembs Panto!

The Boulevard Theatre in Milford Haven is ready to fly to Neverland, with a production of Peter Pan for 2026.

Wynne revealed that he would be playing Captain Hook when he visited the seaside town of Tenby on June 11 for the ‘mystery unveiling’ in Tudor Square.

A large treasure chest appeared overnight in the grounds of St Mary’s Church, with the words ‘all will be revealed at 1pm’ daubed over it.

And sure enough, the exciting casting announcement was officially made with Wynne on hand to share a joke and a few laughs with a crowd of people that had gathered.

Wynne one of Wales' most recognisable performers, who is set to bring his trademark charisma, comedy, and larger-than-life personality to the villainous Captain Hook, said: "I've always loved pantomime and the chance to play one of the greatest villains ever written was simply too good to resist! Captain Hook is outrageous, funny, dramatic and completely over-the-top – everything a pantomime character should be.

Known as Wales’ favourite tenor, Wynne who serves as the president of the Tenby Male Choir, continued:“I can't wait to join The Big Pembrokeshire Pantomime team this Christmas and help create some magical memories for audiences across Pembrokeshire and beyond. It's going to be a fantastic adventure!"

Wynne is a phenomenal entertainer with incredible stage presence, warmth and comic timing, making him the perfect choice to lead our voyage to Neverland.

A spokesperson for the production shared: “For years, the Boulevard has been home to The Big Pembs Panto, through their most magical pantomime adventures, and this Christmas we cannot wait to welcome audiences back for another unforgettable journey filled with laughter, adventure, pirates, pixie dust, and classic panto magic.

“From the moment the curtain rises to the final bows, we’re preparing for a pantomime packed with spectacle, fun, and the magic that Pembrokeshire audiences have come to love and expect from the Boulevard stage.”

The fantastic Polly Odarley will be stepping onto the stage as the fierce and fearless Tiger Lily; along with Holly-Mae Meadows as the enchanting Mimi the Mermaid; and Alice Bamber starring as Wendy Darling.

Featuring all the classic characters audiences know and love, Peter Pan will whisk theatre-goers away to Neverland for a festive journey filled with pirates, lost children, magical flying adventures, and plenty of pantomime fun!

This year’s swashbuckling panto adventure will run from December 9 to 31 at the Boulevard Theatre located on Charles Street.
