A POWERFUL new play explores how rising sea levels and environmental change are reshaping Welsh coastal communities.

On October 22 at Carmarthen’s Yr Egin and October 30 and 31 at Fishguard’s Theatr Gwaun, Mercury Theatre Wales presents The Woman on the Hill.

The production follows 25 years in the life of Carys, whose personal loss inspires her to confront the growing dangers. From farmers to those relying on tourism, the community faces difficult choices as the tides rise and the waters close in.

The play features seven original songs created with Welsh composer Dan Lawrence and Bethan Morgan.

Doors open at 7.30pm. Book via theatrgwaun.com; for accessibility needs, email [email protected]; for a free carers’ ticket, call 01834 869323.
