AWARDED five stars by The Observer and Broadway World, the Royal Ballet’s Woolf Works layers themes from Mrs Dalloway, Orlando, The Waves and Virginia Woolf’s other writings.
Woolf Works can be seen on the Torch Theatre screen on Sunday 15 February at 5pm.
This Olivier-award winning ballet triptych captures the heart a uniquely artistic spirit. Author Virginia Woolf defied literary conventions to depict rich inner worlds – her heightened, startling and poignant reality.
Resident English Choreographer Sir Wayne McGregor, the Royal Ballet’s first from a contemporary dance background, leads an artistic team in evoking Woolf’s signature stream of consciousness writing style in this immense work that rejects traditional narrative structures.
Viewers are in for a visual treat too, with costume designer Moritz Junge.
