Tenby Museum and Art Gallery will be hosting a variety of events throughout May - including women’s history, live acoustic music and environmentally conscious children’s performances!

Thursday, May 22 will see Father Gildas Gage give his talk; Her Story: Why were women written out of history? This talk takes place at 7 pm, with a duration of approximately one hour.

On Saturday, May 24, musician Al Lewis will be visiting Tenby to perform his acoustic sets in the Lower Gallery, having travelled across Wales to perform in partnership with Transport for Wales.

Al will not only experience new parts of the country, but will also practise a more environmentally and socially conscious approach to touring and show how musicians can do their bit to help reduce our combined carbon footprint.

Drop in on Wednesday May 28 and Thursday, May 29 to join Pwll the Puffin and Professor Recorde for their time travelling adventure.

Journeying into the future, you will discover the effects of climate change on puffins, and if there are any alternatives.

Small World Theatre, Cardigan have collaborated with the Museum for this performance, providing a puppet and equipment made from recycled materials.

This play also includes artwork completed by visiting families from the Easter Holiday workshops, so if you took part in these, drop in and see if you can spot your own work!

These performances take place on each day at 12.30 pm and 2.30 pm, with a duration of around 15 minutes. This activity will be free with standard admission (free with Art Pass), with visiting children being required to be supervised by an adult.

Supported by Art Fund, these activity days are inspired by the international public art project THE HERDS, which sees life-size puppet animals stampede across Africa and Europe to flee climate disaster.
