Paul Blanchflower ‘America my Views’ - A return visit of Paul Blanchflower to Tenby Camera Club who is also a regular judge.

A well received talk which was appreciated by the audience. There were excellent images to enjoy and a relaxed delivery style captivated the members .

Leigh Woolford ‘Mostly Motor Racing’ - The Club welcomed Leigh Woolford for the penultimate meeting of the 24/25 season. His talk was entitled Mostly Motor Racing – over 40 years of trying to photograph things going fast.

Leigh started in the 1980s watching motor racing before taking up photography, he described himself as a racing fan with a camera. His early photographic competition entries were low scoring, but he was soon on the podium winning awards. His photographs varied from cars to drivers, and from hill climbs to Formula 1 Grand Prix.

His photographs included images from many racing circuits in the UK, and also the opulence of Grand Prix tracks such as Monaco. Leigh showed us the slow shutter speeds used in his camera to obtain sharp images of the high-speed cars.

The talk was mostly motor racing, but Leigh also showed images of trips to the Canadian Rockies, Iceland, and the Faroe Islands. An unusual topic for members but most appreciated.

Photograph of the Year Print and Digital - A stunning end to the season at the Club. This competition featured all the Gold, Silver and Bronze award winners for this season’s competitions.

To judge these high quality images Ed Cloutman, EFIAP Hon. FWPF, a respected Welsh Photographic Federation judge, was invited to take on the task. He praised the quality of the work presented to him and found it difficult to find any major faults to mention.

Nevertheless Ed used his experience to whittle the entries down for the awards.
