A successful Saundersfoot Rotary quiz in memory of founder member was held recently at one of the seaside village’s venues, raising nearly £500 for worthy causes.
The quiz night held on Monday, April 3 at The Merlewood Hotel in memory of Ian Nicholls who was the founder member of the Club and who introduced the quiz over 21 years ago, raised £479 towards various charities.

“The evening proved to be popular, enjoyable and very successful,” said Saundersfoot Rotary’s president Brian Jenkins.
“Our thanks go to Charles Hopkinson for organising the event, also to Richard Ormond our excellent ‘quiz master’ - as well as the Rotarian members and friends who sold raffle tickets, kept the scores in an efficient manner, and those who worked hard as waiters serving snacks and getting drinks from the bar for the thirsty players.”
“A new memorial shield was presented by the Club President to the winning team and the Club looks forward to greeting you in what is going to be an annual event on our club calendar once again,” he added.
