Unearthed Festival, the grassroots three-day gathering near St David's in Pembrokeshire, returns for its 14th year next month.
Headlining the festival this year, which takes place from June 19 to 21 is Mercury Prize-winning drum and bass pioneer Roni Size - topping a bill that places international names on the same stage as West Wales' rising independent artists.
Also appearing on the main stage are:
• Goldie Lookin Chain — Welsh cult rap collective, winners of the UK Festival Award for Best Urban Act.
• The Herbaliser Band — London's eight-piece live powerhouse blending hip-hop, jazz, funk and cinematic brass.
• League of Rebelz — East London Angolan-Spanish brothers, conscious reggae rooted in Rastafari, soul and funk.
• Omega Nebula — Live electronic duo fusing Jamaican sound-system culture with bass, dub, jungle and dubstep.
True to the festival's ethos, Welsh artists share top-line billing - a total of 70% of acts across the festival. Highlights from the West Wales contingent include:
- Tomos Newman — Pembrokeshire folk singer-songwriter, supported by the Forte Project.
- Queen Beezie — St Davids-based punk/funk/soul/reggae outfit built for the dancefloor.
- Twpsyn — Pembroke-based psychedelic rock; fronted by George, who runs the town's Main Street Music shop and once sold matchbox guitars at Unearthed!
- Plus Dan Bettridge, Samana, DJ Moonshine, Timabli, Awenvarda and many more.
Beyond the Main Stage, Dub Corner, Cosmic Cwtsh and the Freedom Stage run grassroots music from dawn into late night — psy, techno, liquid dub, dubstep, punk, singer-songwriters, rap and spoken word.
The wider programme includes Unearthed's fire procession and closing ceremony, Temple Tent workshops and healing sessions, late-night jam spaces, theatre, cabaret and roaming performers. Green Crafts returns with a full programme of workshops and The Wild Water Sauna invites guests to find a moment of calm through their hot and cold water rituals.
