Wearing their new black zipper jackets, Pembroke and District Male Voice choristers sang to a large crowd at a very sunny Pembroke Farmers’ Club Annual Show at Lamphey recently.

Joined by choristers from Quaynotes, Whitland Male Voice, Cor Meibion de Cymru, a member of a Gloucester choir and a former first tenor, they were directed from the keyboard by Musical Director Juliet Rossiter. MC was Matthew John.

The new jackets were acquired thanks to generous support of the family of the late Frank Harries, senior chorister, who died in January aged 95.

Ed Morris of Pembroke Farmers Club – a baritone in Pembroke choir – presented a cheque for £1,550 to Frank Hart, Hon Secretary of Pembrokeshire Friends of Prostate Cymru, part proceeds of a joint concert in Tenby in May involving the Tredagh Singers from Ireland, Serendipity Choir of Narberth and Pembroke choristers.

A similar amount was donated to Pancreatic Cancer UK charity.
