This year’s Party at the Castle in aid of Pembroke Town Walls Trust took place on Saturday (July 16), courtesy of Pembroke Castle and trustees.

It was a hugely successful family event, back after three years.

The Vagrants Crew never fail to set the mood, and so they did, with non-stop music throughout. “Everyone wants them back next year,” said a spokesperson for the Town Walls Trust.

The trustees were delighted to announce that £700 was raised during the evening.

Car of the Show was a blue MGB owned by Paul and Angie Matthews, of Jeffreyston.

Pembroke Town Walls Trust is grateful to Classic Car organiser Kevin Crotty and his family for the memento trophies which were presented to car owners by trustee Daphne Bush.

The ‘show went on’ thanks also to the priceless help of Jason Kenniford, Caretaker, Jack and Rose, supporting the trustees all through the evening. The trust express their thanks to the public for being with them, and also to the willing exhibitors, back again as before, and are grateful to Gwen Griffiths, of Pembroke, the event’s photographer since the first Party at the Castle, donating her time and the photos at each event.

“Thank you all,” added Daphne Bush. “Back in 2023 please?”
