NEIL Diamond fans will not want to miss the free showing of the 2025 12-rated film ‘Song Sung Blue’ at Amroth Parish Hall on Friday, July 10.
Combining music, drama and biography, Song Sung Blue is based on the 2008 documentary film of the same name by Greg Hohs. It stars Hugh Jackman, Kate Hudson and Ella Anderson and is directed by Craig Brewer.
Despite borrowing one of his song titles, the film Song Sung Blue is not a biopic of Neil Diamond. It tells instead the true story of a real-life couple who performed Diamond’s music in the 1990s under the stage names Thunder and Lightning, as they experience soaring success and devastating heartbreak in their musical journey together.
Amroth Parish Hall is located at Summerhill (What3words brightens.venue.rejoins). Doors open at 7pm for a 7.30 start. Admission is free but donations are always appreciated. Tea and coffee will be available before the film. Bring a cushion for your added comfort.
Summerhill Film Night is coordinated by Amroth Community Council and Amroth & District Community Association.
