JOIN Oriel Q in Narberth this June for a celebration in art of local pubs and the community they support.

Pubs have been a feature of British life for centuries. They are at the centre of village, town and city life, they have always been more than just venues of strong liquor and revelry.

Pubs have been places of friendship, places of discussion, and places to make important, sometimes life-changing connections.

And of all the clubs in the world, none is more open and easy to join!

A new exhibition at Oriel Q is an artistic celebration of all that The Local can and might mean in our lives - its past, its present and its future.

Following a launch on Saturday (June 6) the exhibition, entitled ‘The Local’ runs until July 11.

The gallery describes it as “a show to celebrate centuries of British pub culture, what the public house has meant and continues to mean to people in the UK, but paying particular attention to our own locals in Narberth.”

It picks up on not just visual art but poetry too, in the best tradition of Dylan Thomas.

Oriel Q Gallery is found at Market Square, Narberth, SA67 7AU and is open on Monday to Saturday, 10am-4pm (closed Tuesdays).

The volunteer-led gallery is known for its well-curated exhibitions featuring both established and emerging artists. The gallery presents a diverse range of artworks, including paintings, sculptures, and mixed media.
