Pembrokeshire based Magician David Hitchcott recently helped sprinkle some extra stardust at the Welsh premiere of ‘Now You See Me: Now You Don't’ - which has topped the box office in both the US and UK - the third film focusing on a group of magicians.
David, a member of the Famous Magic Circle, performed close up magic for the first night crowd at the Everyman Cinema in Cardiff.
Around the UK, 39 members of the Magic Circle appeared at Everyman Cinemas, the first time the club, which has 1,700 members worldwide, including King Charles and Stephen Fry, has organised a nationwide magic event.
The film once again stars Jesse Eisenberg and Woody Harrelson and Morgan Freeman - and is the the third installment in the Now You See me series.
The overall plot centers on a team of illusionists named The Four Horsemen, who use their stage productions as a means of completing unfeasible and lucrative heists.
David, based in Milford Haven, known for being a talented entertainer who brings joy, wonder, and laughter to every event, said of the occasion: “What an amazing event put together by Michael J Fitch, vice president of The Magic Circle, and Everyman cinemas.
“Everyman were so hospitable and the film was a joy to watch afterwards. I believe, it makes us magicians, if we do our jobs well, how normal people see our world! I hope everyone loves the film!
“I usually perform close up and stage magic for weddings, corporate events and celebrations, and believe it or not I have even worked a funeral - but this is only the second time at a cinema, the first was 8 years ago for the release of the second film. Now it's off to prepare for a magical Christmas!" he added.
