IN lieu of a September showing, Summerhill Film Night presents the biographic drama MadFabulous (cert 12) at Amroth Parish Hall on Friday, August 28.

Directed by Celyn Jones and starring Callum Scott Howells, Ruby Stokes and Rupert Everett, the film is described as a “riotous, uncompromising celebration of otherness.” It focusses on an unlikely British aristocrat who bankrupted his estate, lived fast and died young.

Inspired by the life of Henry Cyril Paget, the 5th Marquess of Anglesey, Madfabulous is a fantastical reimagination of his life, with scenes filmed at Plas Newydd, his ancestral home on Ynys Môn.

Doors open at 7pm, when tea and coffee will be available before the 7.30pm screening. Admission is free, while donations are always appreciated.

Next Summerhill Film Night dates are Friday, October 9 and Sunday, October 25.
