The Imperial Hotel is calling on local charities, community groups and organisations across Tenby to nominate a cause in need of a helping hand, with £1,500 up for grabs through its new Community Fund initiative.
The Imperial hotel, which is based in The Paragon, overlooking the seaside town’s South Beach, has launched the initiative as part of its commitment to supporting the community around it, inviting local organisations to apply for funding that could make a tangible difference to the people they support.
The £1,500 fund could help a wide range of local initiatives, from restoring sports facilities and supporting youth clubs, scouts or girl guides to creating new opportunities and improving community spaces, church roofs or sensory gardens.
Applications are open to local causes, charities, community groups and organisations based in Tenby, with nominations needing to be submitted through the official application form by midnight on Friday, September 18.
Applicants must be aged 18 or over and authorised to apply on behalf of their organisation or cause, with one application permitted per organisation. They will be asked to explain what their organisation does, who would benefit from the funding and how the £1,500 would be used.
Following the closing date, an independent judging team will select a shortlist of 4 finalists based on the potential impact each nomination could have in the local community. The decision will then be handed to the public, with a one-week public vote determining the overall winner.
The winning organisation will receive the full £1,500 Community Fund, which must be used for the purpose outlined in its successful application. The hotel will announce the winner at a special event for all finalists, with the result also shared through its social media channels and with local press.
Amelia Parkes, Group Marketing Executive of the Imperial Hotel said: “We are incredibly proud to be part of the Tenby community and wanted to create something that would allow us to provide meaningful support to a local cause.

“We know there are so many fantastic charities, groups and organisations doing important work across the county, often with limited resources and we want to give one of them a helping hand.
“We are really looking forward to hearing about the organisations that apply and finding out how our £1,500 could make a genuine difference. We would encourage anyone involved with a local cause to put forward their nomination and tell us why their organisation deserves our support.”
Set in the heart of Tenby overlooking the South Beach, the Imperial Hotel is a destination for leisure breaks, dining and business events. The hotel is part of Crest Hotels Group and has a long-standing connection with the local area, welcoming both hotel guests and members of the surrounding community.
