Following their showing of the first Downtown Abbey film in May, Films4Tenby will be returning to Britain’s best-loved abbey for the 20th film of their 2022/23 season.
Downton Abbey: A New Era (2022, 125 mins, cert PG) will be showing at the De Valence in Tenby on November 8 with the doors opening at 6.30 and the film starting at 7pm.
The story picks up in 1928 with Violet (Maggie Smith) inheriting a villa in the South of France while a film production company decides to shoot a silent film called ‘The Gambler’ at Downton, with the funds paying for much-needed roof repairs.
The original cast all return and are joined this time out by Hugh Dancy, Laura Haddock and Dominic West. Admission is £5 on the evening, £4 for members, £10 for a family of four.
