A special sandcastle competition was held on Tenby’s South Beach on Sunday August 13, hosted by Penally Community Council, with prizes on offer for the best efforts!

The annual comp was held at the Giltar Point end of South Beach, at midday.

Run by Cllr Hannah Mackie, the first event was held last year as part of Queen Elizabeth 11 Jubilee celebrations and now forms part of the Community Council's summer events programme.

“Another fab Sandcastle competition was held on Sunday, and we were very lucky with the weather!” said Cllr Sarah Snow, Chair of Penally Community Council

“We had 11 teams enter and the Bee's Nest came in first place.

“There were quite a few families from the village which was great to see. Looking forward to next year.”
