BBC’s Antiques Road Trip returned to Tenby this year, with the episode set to be screened this Friday.
There was much excitement at the Antiques@The Green shop in Tenby back in May when a classic Morgan sports car was spotted parked outside!
The shop which specialises in jewellery, medals, coins, and silver collectables had a surprise when the doorbell rang and owner Jason Sallam, expecting it to be an Amazon delivery, was shocked to see a film crew from the BBC once again, plus the antiques expert. Several items were purchased, and Jason is looking forward to seeing how well they did at auction when the programme is aired later in the year.
The shop was previously featured on the show when expert Tim Medhurst visited and came away with a handful of medieval coins, as well as a timeless arts and crafts wooden letterbox.
For this episode, the final one in the series, jewellery specialist Izzie Balmer strikes gold while shopping, finding a bangle, a pendant and earrings, and she takes a punt on a Wedgwood pie dish. She also dips into the history of Tenby for the show which will be screened at 3.45 pm on BBC1 this Friday (October 14).
Meanwhile, her fellow presenter James Braxton goes walkies to Sealyham Mansion to learn about a pooch particular to Pembrokeshire - and how this game hunter is now helping people.
The pair watch on from the impressive Cilwendeg Mansion in Pembrokeshire as the final auction of the trip takes place in Buckinghamshire.
