Tenby's Lower Landsker Trefoil members have had an enjoyable, if slightly more restful, couple of months after the excitement of the Centenary exhibition at the Scout and Guide Hall.
For their April meeting, a walk from Amroth to Colby Lodge was planned, but the weather proved unkind, so it was a drive to Colby and a business meeting followed by delicious coffee and cakes from The Bothy.
As Trefoil UK is celebrating its eightieth birthday this year, members have been given different challenges for each month.
The May challenge was to have a picnic in the outdoors, and last Wednesday, the weather smiled on Lower Landsker members as they enjoyed their picnic in the tranquil surroundings of Tenby Harbour, outside St. Julian’s Church.
Members decided to combine the birthday celebrations with Coronation fun as well, so they all wore homemade crowns of differing quality.

Their designs ranged from medieval, through Roman to some very bejewelled ‘works of art’, but all were worn with pride as the new King was toasted in prosecco, and celebrated with scones and Welsh cakes.
Some members even ventured on to the beach to build a castle, suitably decorated with union jacks.
Many members lingered on in the warm sunshine of the afternoon to enjoy the fun and friendship that is part of being a member of Trefoil Guild.
On June 7 the plan is to travel over to Caldey, meeting another of the challenges, to use different forms of transport.
Members are reminded to meet at 10.30 am at the kiosk on the Harbour, weather permitting.
An invitation has gone out to Trefoil members from North Pembrokeshire, Ceredigion and Carmarthen who are all welcome to join the expedition to this very special island.
