May I through your columns take the opportunity to thank and congratulate the organisers of the Kilgetty Begelly Fun Day and Bulldog Run held last Saturday.
The committees from the Kingsmoor Sports Association and the Begelly Kilgetty Community Association both played their part in coping with extremely difficult weather conditions and a waterlogged field to, not only go ahead and stage the show, but to pull off what proved to be a very successful and enjoyable community event.
Thanks must also go to the many charities and stallholders who supported the fun day and to the owners of the classic cars and motorbikes who came along to show their magnificent vehicles.
It is amazing how adverse weather can bring a community together with determination to make things happen. Well done everyone.
