Pembrokeshire will mark National Parks Week, July 22 to 29, with a series of events and activities for all the family. Residents and visitors alike can make the most of one of Wales' most breathtaking landscapes - the only predominantly coastal National Park in Britain. The events have been co-ordinated by Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority, and include everything from archery to archaeology, and from safaris to sandy sunset strolls. National Parks Week is in its second year and is organised by ANPA, the Association of National Park Authorities. Its aim is to remind people that there are 14 amazing open air spaces in the UK; all perfect for a family day out. The Pembrokeshire events are listed below. Saturday and Sunday, July 23 and 24: Meet the flamboyant Sir John Perrot, favourite at the court of Elizabeth I, at Carew Castle SN 045037.
