A castle with a history stretching back 2,000 years will host some of the finest classic cars from across South Wales on Monday, May 2, with free admission offered to those who bring along their own vintage vehicles.
Carew Castle, which is managed by the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority, will welcome the eye-catching cars for the second year in a row, with last year’s event proving extremely popular.
Carew Castle manager Daisy Hughes said: “Our first annual event was very well attended, with many people enjoying the spectacle of seeing these lovingly preserved cars against the backdrop of a Castle that has been carefully conserved by the National Park Authority for many years.”
There will be hot food and drinks available all day for visitors to enjoy as they admire the marvellous motors, including Pembrokeshire Wood-Fired Pizza and Mamgu Welshcakes.
Children will be also be able to enjoy the special treasure hunt Medieval Maze, while the majestic Castle and Tidal Mill will be open for all to explore and find out more about the fascinating events and colourful characters that shaped this site’s fascinating history.
The Classic Cars at Carew Castle event will take place from 10 am 4 pm, with the castle open from 10 am - 5 pm. Normal admission charges apply: adults £5, children £3.50, concessions £4.25 and a family ticket (two adults and two children) £13.50.
