WRONG TROUSERS DAY

A large number of pupils supported the Wallace and Grommit appeal by wearing wrong trousers to school on July 2. A great deal of thought and effort had gone into some of the ideas and the children enjoyed taking part. Year 6 pupils also made cakes to sell on the day to raise extra funds. A total of £220 was collected and this will support children's hospitals and hospices.

INSTRUMENTAL FESTIVAL

A number of budding musicians took part in the annual Pembrokeshire Instrumental Festival for Primary Schools competition and achieved high standards. Elliot Bowen from Year 4 came second in the Percussion Class when he played the Glockenspiel.

STARS IN YOUR EYES

Around 40 pupils from Years 4, 5 and 6 took part in the 'Stars in Your Eyes' event. The talented artists performed as a variety of well-known singers, ranging from individuals like Britney Spears and Jamelia to groups like Santana and Linken Park.

On Tuesday afternoon, the whole school enjoyed the performance and on the Friday evening they again performed to a full captive audience of parents and friends.

Grateful thanks to Mr. Darren Knipe and Mr. Terry Wilson for their invaluable support.

STORY SACKS

PROJECT

Members of Narberth WI have been busy making attractive Story Sacks linked to well-known stories for the children in the reception and Infant part of the school.

This is part of a Basic Skills project to develop reading and speaking skills with young children.

These Story Sacks include relevant resources, factual and fictional books and tapes linked to the stories.

THANKS

At the end of another busy school year, the staff and pupils would like to thank everyone who has supported and helped the school during the past year and wish all pupils who are moving to secondary school all the very best for the future.
