Sir,

I visited the splendid Silent World Aquarium's open and last day on Sunday. It was a sad day, marking the passing of an era of a loved and valued community asset.

The aquarium in my view is irreplaceable. It has such a unique setting and provides families with an enjoyable and educational day out. Where else in Tenby do people see and learn about animal life in such an interactive way?

My regret is that three town councillors didn't see fit to support plans for a new home for the aquarium team at the DeValence.

My thanks and respect goes to Ginny, Russ and volunteer team for their selfless dedication and splendid service to Tenby. I look forward to their next venture with great hope and confidence.

Clare Kitchen,

Pier Hill,

Tenby.
