Visit the Gallery at St. Brides, Saundersfoot, for a new exhibition of 'Emotional Landscapes' by Scott Clark.
By using textured and layered surfaces to foster an emotional response from the audience, Scott's pieces demand a projection of the viewer's own experiences onto the canvas to form an additional layer engendering an emotional link between the viewer and the abstract painting.
Scott's passion for art as a way of life is clearly visible through his work.
In describing his work, Scott stated: "Producing pieces of art is like placing my own stamp on the world - it helps me to combat my very morality. Self-expression is everyone's own personal diary helping to capture the moment."
His talent as a multimedia artist is apparent in his portfolio, which includes fine oil portraiture, conceptual installations, contemporary interior design and photography. He has worked with the BBC on set design and was introduced to BMW through his photography, who then bought his contemporary paintings for their showrooms.
If you go down to Cardiff Bay you will also see others of his work in bars and restaurants, notably the 14 feet by four feet panel at 'Valentino's' restaurant.
The Gallery at St Brides is open all day every day, with the exhibition running from today (Friday) until March 5.
