Sunday's service began with a vibrant time of praise and worship, led by Jacqueline Rodda,

Pastor Jonathan Fiddy shared on 'Finding your gifts'. The main emphasis of the message was how important it is to find what gifts have been given to, and to use them. So often people try and operate in areas which they are not gifted, and be someone there not. When someone begins to operate in their area of gifting, they excel, and do well at it. If that gift is teaching, they have a way of keeping peoples attention, they speak well and are enjoyable to listen to, but if someone with that gift tried to lead worship, they would be wasting their gift, and there time.

Jonathan used the illustration of the 'school for animals', where there were several animals, who all had to do tests to see how well they coped at; swimming, running, climbing and flying.

The duck was pretty good at swimming, could run a little, but was awful at climbing, and couldn't really fly to well. The cat was great at running and climbing, but he couldn't swim, or fly! The eagle was an amazing flyer, but couldn't swim, run or climb to well! It's a waste for us to try to be something we are not! Excel where you have been given the gifts to excel!

The Bible describes that we are all members of one body. We all have a role which is vital in the healthy operation of the body. Some are the ears, others the eyes, others the feet, some the big toe. But no matter how big or small your role or gifting, it is vital to the well being of the body! We will all be accountable to Jesus at the end of time, on how we used the gifts that we were given. He wants to reward us, and to say: "Well done, good and faithful servant", but for that, we need to be using the gifts we have, willingly, diligently, and with a joyful heart!
