AT the Texaco Pembrokeshire Primary Schools Instrumental Festival on Saturday, eight pupils from Stepaside School participated.
Adam North competed gallantly in the Strings Open competition, while Emma Redford and Kira Hardy participated in violin competitions for Grades 3 and 4, respectively. Kira was highly commended.
In the Trombone Grade 2 category, Stephen Harris played well to finish third. Ellen Thomas played an up tempo piece with enthusiasm and enjoyment to win the Oboe Grade 4 category.
Also involved were James Griffiths (Saxophone Grade 4), Owain Evans (Trumpet Grade 3) and Elliott Morrison (Trumpet Grade 2).
