Whilst campaigning in Tenby last week, Plaid's Assembly candidate for Carmarthen West and South Pembrokeshire, John Dixon, met Major Tom, who runs carriage trips around the town. Mr. Dixon declared: "In a close election like this one, with Labour and Plaid running neck and neck, every vote counts. We knew from the outset that this election was going to be a two-horse race, although this wasn't quite what we had in mind! "The weather has been excellent over the Easter period -good campaigning weather, and a good start to the tourist season as well. "I wished Major Tom a good season - and I'm certain that he was trying to wish us luck in the campaign as well."
