A musical brother and sister from Wiseman’s Bridge came home with some trophies after solo and duet successes at last week’s Urdd National Eisteddfod in Flint.

Siriol and Talfan Jenkins won the under 19 instrumental duet with a piece for piano and saxophone which had been written by Siriol, aged 17. Her composition also came second in the composer’s medal competition.

Saxophonist Talfan, 15, capped off their day with first place in the under 19 woodwind solo competition.
