Sir, Once again Saundersfoot Footlights have staged a very successful musical, 'Calamity Jane', with beautiful costumes, excellent scenery and some strong performances by the very talented cast. All was set for a wonderful show, but at the last minute everything was put in jeopardy. Due to unforeseen circumstances, the orchestra was unavailable and the musical director had disappeared! It seemed as though it really was an all round 'calamity'. However, all was not lost and in true theatre tradition 'the show must go on'. Everyone rallied round the company's loyal accompanist, Eileen Thomas,, who rose to the occasion and single- handedly provided all the music required. Bravo Eileen! You saved the day; indeed, the entire show. Thank you so much for your contribution to the success of the Footlights over many years. Our thanks also to producer Helen Wright and the entire company for the wonderful work given to produce this show. We played to full houses most nights and are very grateful for support of the public over the last 30 years. We now look forward to the next time, the pantomime 'Snow White', to be staged in December - see you there.

Dave John, President of Saundersfoot Footlights.
