Work to a highway due to recent coastal erosion will see a road closure in place for eight weeks at a seaside village in Pembrokeshire.

Amroth Community Council have warned residents and visitors to please be aware that the coast road from Amroth towards Pendine will be closed from Tuesday, May 2 for approximately 8 weeks.

This is to allow Pembrokeshire County Council to conduct necessary highway realignment work following recent cliff erosion in the area between Amroth and Telpyn.

All drivers are instructed to please follow the designated signed diversion via Summerhill, A477 and Red Roses. Any other route is not advised due to the narrowness of local roads and increased traffic.

The existing road will remain open to walkers.
