A poster competition celebrating the safety learnings of Crucial Crew, has be won by eleven-year-old Scarlett Price of Tavernspite School.

The competition was launched in November last year when Crucial Crew safety learnings were taught to around 1400 year six pupils across the County.

From online bullying and food safety to first aid and the importance of the emergency services, Scarlett’s artwork represents many of the key themes of Crucial Crew.

As well as winning an Amazon gift voucher, Scarlett has secured £500 for extra-curricular activities at Tavernspite School – money that is gifted from Crucial Crew’s long-term supporter, South Hook LNG. Second and third places were awarded to Emily Houlston and Freya Penfold of Lamphey Primary and Ysgol Penrhyn Dewi, respectively.

With continued support from South Hook LNG, Pembrokeshire County Council will once again work with Agencies to deliver the 2022 Crucial Crew, this November.

Road Safety, School Transport, Domestic Abuse Services, Food Safety/Food Standards Agency, Dyfed Powys Police, Mid and West Wales Fire Service, Welsh Ambulance Services, RNLI, Western Power and Network Rail, will all be involved in delivering key safety learnings to our county’s children.
