When Spittal VC school pupils visited Carew Cheriton Control Tower Group museum, they were intrigued by the WW2 history they experienced. They all thought it was a great day out.
This led to a VE day tea party organised by staff and pupils being held at the school with parents and invited control tower guests attending. It was an excellent event enjoyed by all.
The £277 raised at the party was presented to the control tower last Thursday at a reception for the staff, pupils and parents held at the control tower.
The photograph shows class teacher Jessica Griffiths, control tower president John Brock, pupils and parents of Spittal VC school and group members.
