The staff and students at Ysgol Greenhill would like to say a huge congratulations to Gwen Dodd and Ella Davies who were selected to play for the West Wales Under 17s Netball team in Bangor, North Wales last weekend. Well done girls!

Year 7 Welcomes Their Former Teachers

Last week, Ysgol Greenhill welcomed Year 6 teachers and Headteachers from our feeder primary schools as part of our transition programme. They were met by Year 7 students, who had the opportunity to share with their former teachers the progress they have made since joining Greenhill. Our Year 7 students and Council did themselves proud on the day and a great time was had by all. Da iawn pawb!

Football Friendly

On Wednesday, January 23, Ysgol Greenhill’s Year 7 Football team welcomed Ysgol Harri Tudur for a friendly match. All 15 boys on the squad played at least a half each, and it was a great chance to develop both their skills and friendships with the squad from Pembroke. Da iawn bechgyn!

Under 15s and 16s in Action

On Tuesday, January 22, the Ysgol Greenhill Under 16s and Under 15s Netball teams took on two strong teams from Ysgol Bro Myrddin. Despite coming away with two losses, it was a great opportunity for the girls to broaden their experience outside of the county by playing against teams from Carmarthenshire.

Dyfed Schools Championships

Congratulations to our Cross Country runners who represented Pembrokeshire at the Dyfed Schools Championships on Tuesday, January 22. The event was held at Oakwood in cold and muddy conditions. All the runners did very well, with the star performers being Carys Wood of Year 7 who finished in 3rd, and Mila Blackwell of Year 8 who finished 5th in the Year 9 race. Both girls will now go on to represent Dyfed at the Welsh Schools Cross Country Championships. Well done from a very proud school!
