Is your child due to start secondary school in September 2018?
The deadline for parents who live in Pembrokeshire to apply for a secondary school place for their child is December 22.
Pembrokeshire County Council is urging parents to make every effort to meet this deadline.
Applications received after that date will be considered late and this may have a bearing on whether the pupil gets a place at their preferred school.
It is not sufficient to inform the headteacher of your child’s primary school verbally because it is county council - not secondary schools -which is responsible for admissions.
Applications should be made using the online form on the Pembrokeshire County Council website (https://www.pembrokeshire.gov.uk/schools-and-learning).
Parents will be informed of the allocation of places on March 1.
Further information about the admission procedures can be found in the ‘Information for Parents’ booklet on the Pembrokeshire County Council website (www.pembrokeshire.gov.uk/school-admissions).
