Parents of children due to start secondary school in Pembrokeshire in September 2018 are being reminded that the closing date to apply for a school place is January 5.

Pembrokeshire County Council is urging parents to make every effort to meet the deadline.

Applications received after that date will be considered late and this may have a bearing on whether the pupil gets a place at their preferred school.

Secondary school applications need to be made to the council’s admissions officer.

To make an application, please use the online form on the Pembrokeshire County Council website (https://www.pembrokeshire.gov.uk/schools-and-learning).

Parents will be informed of the allocation of places on March 1.
