A wonderful recycling Christmas initiative has spread cheer and joy across the community of Lamphey, Hodgeston and Freshwater East.

Lamphey Community Association, with the support of Mr Sam Smith, recycled old wooden pallets to make Christmas trees, which have been decorated by the children of Lamphey Primary School. These trees will be displayed around the local villages.

Lamphey Primary School Headteacher, Mr S Thomas, said: “At this time of year it is wonderful to see the children involved in a community project that spreads happiness and joy but also informs the children of the importance of recycling and reusing in today’s throw-away world.

“I would like to thank Sam, for working alongside the children to make the trees, and Emma Cannon-Hartnell for arranging the project.”
