Pembrokeshire has scooped two prizes in a national community transport awards.
Social services bus driver and support worker for Pembrokeshire County Council Eddie Bunston (pictured left) was judged one of the best minibus drivers in the country, while local volunteer driver Peter Scoble (right) was judged best transport volunteer.
Eddie Bunston, of Crundale, was named runner-up in the 'All Wales Minibus Driver of the Year' at the Wales Community Transport awards last week.
He was presented with a trophy and a £50 cheque at the finals in Llandrindod Wells on Wednesday, October 19.
Eddie, who undertook the competition in his own time, was tested by theory questions, role play scenarios and practical driving tests.
The award was organised through the MiDAS (Minibus driver's awareness scheme) which trains drivers to provide professional, caring and quality transport for passengers across the UK.
The finals also featured another Pembrokeshire driver Viv Davies, who regularly drives the Town Rider dial-a-ride service in Pembroke and Milford Haven on behalf of Silcox Coaches.
At the same award ceremony, Peter Scoble from Haverfordwest was named 'Wales Community Transport Volunteer of the Year'.
Peter, who regularly drives for Pembrokeshire Voluntary Transport, was commended for his dedication and caring nature.
