Recently, Tenby Junior School had their annual 'Eco Day' organised by the Eco Team.

This year, the focus was on endangered animals.

£180 was raised, which means that five endangered animals can be adopted for the coming year.

Year 3 have decided to adopt a Giant Panda, Year 4 an Amur Leopard (with only 30 remaining in the wild), Year 5 are adopting a Bengal Tiger, Year 6 for the second year running are adopting a Snow Leopard and Dosbarth Cymraeg are adopting a Lowland Gorilla.

The children of the school dressed as an endangered animal for the day in support of the cause and performed in the 'Carnival of the Animals' catwalk, where prizes were awarded for the best animal imitation.

The judging was incredibly difficult and the Eco Team would like to thank Mrs. Roberts of the PTA and Monica Fernandez from Animal Aid for their expert judging.

The children are looking forward to receiving their adoption packs from the WWF as well as regular updates on the work of the WWF.
