A Pembrokeshire-made film is challenging teenagers across Wales to look at the choices we face in response to climate change.

'It's Up to Us!' is a bilingual film produced by Pembrokeshire film company, Animality Productions, for the West Wales ECO Centre.

Filmed on location around Wales and including many scenes from Pembrokeshire, it features interviews with experts from leading Welsh organisations addressing climate change.

The film was funded by the Welsh Assembly Government's Sustainable Development Fund, which is administered locally by the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority, St. Davids Adventure firm TYF, with support from Menter Sir Benfro for the Welsh language version.

West Wales ECO Centre's Jake Hollyfield said: "'It's Up To Us!' looks at the key issues we face in Wales: electricity production, transport, housing and food in the context of climate change.

"It presents a diverse range of possible solutions for 14 to 19-year-old students to discuss, providing a unique overview of the challenges ahead and we hope it will stimulate informed debate."

The film is part of West Wales ECO Centre's Climate Change Wales project which was launched in 2007 by Jane Davidson, Minister for Environment, Sustainability and Housing, which has established the Eco Centre as a leading creator of Education for Sustainable Development and Global Citizenship resources.

The DVD is available free to education institutions across Wales or £5 to the general public. To order a copy, call Tim Brew on 01239 821903 or email [email protected]">[email protected]
