If you're looking for some family fun over the Easter weekend together with some fresh air and exercise, then head for the National Trust's Colby Woodland Garden at Amroth, and join in the special Cadbury-sponsored Easter Egg Trail.

Children can hunt for clues hidden all over the woodlands to complete the mystery message and win a special Cadbury's egg. The two trails will be suitable for all age groups, one set in the meadow, buggy friendly and step free, and a second trail throughout the woodland garden for the more energetic.

The Easter Egg Trails will run from Good Friday to Easter Monday, 11 am until 3.30 pm, and cost £1.50 to join in, plus normal admission.National Trust members and under fives are admitted free.

Colby Woodland Garden will also be hosting a family friendly 'Bats for Beginners' evening on Wednesday, April 15, at 7.30 pm. If you've always wanted to know more about bats, but have been afraid to ask, then this event is for you. Local experts Annie and Bob Haycock, who have over 50 years of Pembrokeshire wildlife knowledge between them, will be leading the illustrated talk followed by a dusk bat walk.

You might even be lucky enough to see one of the rare Lesser Horseshoe bats which inhabit the Colby estate. Tickets for this event are £3.50 and booking is essential, so please ring the National Trust Shop at Colby, 01834 811885, to reserve your place.
