East Williamston Community Hall has had a busy few months.
The first Saturday in September saw the hall used for a wedding reception. A total of 160 guests celebrated the marriage of Christine Ball to Norman Mayer. The heavy rain held off until the guests made it back to the hall. Guests came from near and far, with some travelling from the Cardigan area and others as far as Yorkshire and London.
Food was catered by Mrs. Janet Mathias, of Bakeaway, and the bar was run by the hall committee. Special thanks to Rhydian Rees who worked the bar for the whole of the day's celebrations. Thanks also to Anthony Ratcliff.
The monthly quiz nights are still running on the last Saturday of the month. Everyone is welcome to come and take part. The quiz nights are not taken too seriously and everyone enjoys the evening.
Last month's quiz was a charity evening with money raised on the raffle and entry fees going to the Ty Hafan Butterfly Appeal. An amazing total of £370 was raised. A special thanks goes to everyone who donated prizes and gave donations.
Money raised at the Christmas quiz will also be given to Ty Hafan when hopefully a representative of the charity will be at the quiz to receive a cheque for the money raised at both events.
The next quiz will be on Saturday, October 25. Bar opens at 7.30 pm and the quiz starts at 8 pm. £2 per person with team of four. If you do not have enough people to make a team come along, there are always teams looking for more help!
