At the recent very successful opening of the Jubilee Park and Nature Trail by BBC naturalist Iolo Williams, which was attended my many local dignitaries along with members of the public and a number of local schools, many of whom have used the park as an educational tool, a plaque was presented to Ian Wilkinson for his extensive efforts establishing the park. Without the unfaltering commitment of Ian, the Jubilee Park and Nature Trail may not have ever been established. In order to maintain the Jubilee Park and the Community Hall for the use of the entire community, the committee is now in the process of organising a '70s night which will take place on Friday, November 23.  Bar opens 7.30 pm until late.  Fancy dress optional. Entry £3 per person to include snacks.  The following evening, Saturday, November 24, the monthly quiz will take place. The quiz nights are a fun evening for all the family, including children.  Admission is £2 per person and it is open to teams of four. Bar opens 7.30 pm, quiz starts at 8 pm. The committee welcomes input from any members of  the community who have any ideas for events or fund-raising they would like to see held in the local community. If you have any comments or suggestions, please contact Tracy Beynon on (01834) 812144. Said Tracy: "We look forward to welcoming you to the events in the Community Hall and invite you to come along and experience the Jubilee Park and Nature Trail for yourselves."
