Matters discussed at the October meeting were as follows:

Visit from South East Pembrokeshire Energy Group presented a brief update on the community energy product.

Funding complications arose with original parties and the project ground to a halt.

The consultant from Seren Energy came forward and offered to finance up to planning stage and this would then be a 50/50 venture.

A new company would be formed which would be called EW Energy Ltd.

The location of the turbine would be in Prouts Park.

A planning application would probably be lodged in the new year and would then take approximately two years to finalise and install.

There would be a public exhibition to inform residents in the locality.

A percentage of the income would go to the community for 'green' projects.

Matters arising from previous business minutes:

Reply from Pembrokeshire County Council regarding Templebar Road: Slow markings and signs would be installed. A further request was to be sent asking for the improvement to the line of sight by taking back the hedge; Glen More advised that an enforcement notice had been served on Thorney Park Fields and Rita Williams advising that an advertising sign on Tenby Road complied with planning.

Casual vacancy: It was resolved to advertise for Pentlepoir ward. Notices would be placed on the ward notice boards at East Williamston, Pentlepoir and Broadmoor.

Queen Elizabeth fields: The deed of dedication was to be completed and returned

A commemorative bench would be purchased and installed shortly.

Planning matters (it was noted Clr. Codd took no active part in planning decisions): Change of use of 50 touring pitches to 50 static caravans at Sunnyvale Holiday Park, Saundersfoot - objections were raised contrary to JUDP policy no 25, increase of vehicular flow in Valley Road, permanent feature as opposed to temporary, and substantial increase in sewerage; notification of appeal regarding use of land for residential caravan at Thorney Park Fields - it was resolved to send a letter of objection to planning appeals

Correspondence: A letter was received from a resident in Pentlepoir regarding problems with running water and lack of drainage causing problems to garden.

Also lack of general maintenance at former Pentlepoir School. Councillors asked for the county council to be contacted on these matters.

Councillors reports: College students were working in Jubilee Park on reinstating footpaths, with materials to be supplied by the community council.

The county council were to be contacted about an ash tree on the common overhanging a property in East Willimaston and causing concern.
