Their continued pressure was rewarded with a penalty corner, and with Mandy sidelined with an injury from the resulting strike, Tenby were briefly down to 10 'men'.
Buckley then opened their account from a second penalty corner, when the striker hit the ball to her forward on the post.
The pressure continued to mount on the Tenby defence, but it kept tight until the 15th minute when Buckley were awarded two more penalty corners, from which they passed the ball left and scored from the top of the 'D'.
Tenby did not drop their heads, but fought back well, and when Anne in midfield passed the ball to Lucy, receiving it in Buckley's final quarter, she dribbled into the 'D' and struck the ball into the left-hand corner.
Barney narrowly missed the goal a few minutes later and then it was Anne's turn to demonstrate yet again her instinct for goal as she received the ball, turned and hit it in one continuous movement to well and truly beat the 'keeper.
Half-time 2-2 and Tenby were back in business!
The second half began with Buckley yet again testing Michelle, Judy and Sarah in defence, and a fine solo effort and strike from the centre saw the goalie beaten.
It was from an error that Tenby conceded another penalty corner, from which Buckley passed the ball to players waiting near the post, any one of wom could have scored, and Tenby found themselves 4-2 down.
Tenby continued to battle and missed several opportunities, but at the end of the day Buckley were stronger and deserved victory in what turned out to be an enjoyable match for both teams. Thanks go to all the supporters who encouraged the team on a damp and dreary day!
