About to tuck into a tasty dish of prime Pembrokeshire new season's potatoes produced by South Pembrokeshire grower, Barry Hathway, are pupils of a Haverfordwest County Primary School - Chloe, Annette, Janine and Sarah.

Arwyn Thomas, of the Welsh Culinary Association (pictured), said at the local Tesco store: "It was great to see the children enjoying the day and taking a genuine interest. We always encourage young people to find out more about cooking and this was the perfect day to do just that. These locally grown early potatoes were quite fantastic and I am sure they will be a hit at dinner tables across south Wales."

Grower David Dixon remarked: "We all know how tasty fresh new potatoes are with a little nob of butter, but these Lady Cristl variety are truly special, even without the butter!"
