Dyfed Powys Police will be flying the rainbow flag above some of its buildings in February in support of lesbian gay bisexual transgender history month.
The flag will be touring the force as part of the Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender (LGBT) History Month which takes place every year in February and celebrates the lives and achievements of the LGBT community.
Dyfed Powys Police has recently signed up to the Stonewall Diversity Champions scheme and is working with Stonewall to become a better employer for lesbian, gay and bisexual staff.
Stonewall Cymru aims to achieve legal equality and social justice for lesbian, gay and bisexual people in Wales.
The force has appointed senior managers to champion each of the diversity strands and Temporary Superintendent Claire Parmenter has been appointed diversity champion for sexual orientation.
"We are committed to working in partnership with Stonewall Cymru to ensure we are actively promoting the human rights and equal treatment of people within the LGBT communities across Dyfed and Powys both members of staff and members of the community."
Dyfed Powys Police would like to hear from any employees who are gay, lesbian, or bisexual, whether or not they are members of the Gay Police Association.
The Sexual Orientation Work Group also welcomes any heterosexual staff to take part, in support of their gay colleagues, friends or family.
