The annual general meeting of Dyfed FHS will take place in St. Peter's Civic Hall, Nott Square, Carmarthen, on Saturday, February 14, commencing at 10 am. The formal part of the agenda is scheduled to last until 11 am.

Appropriately for St. Valentine's Day, the guest speaker will discuss the intriguing history of Welsh Courting Customs.

Author and and lecturer Catrin Stevens has written extensively on the subject and will be offering a 'glossary of terms', which once had significant meanings for courting couples, as part of her talk.

Between 12.30 pm and 4 pm, family history researchers will have access to records held by the society on micro fiche, compact disc and conventional file. Interested members of the public will be welcome to visit, browse and invite help with questions from experienced volunteers. Admission is free and there are no fees for assistance.

Tea and coffee will be available during the day.
