Whitland 11 pts. Dunvant 3
A win is a win and perhaps we should leave it at that. But, having said that, Whitland did complete the double over Dunvant by 11 points to three, albeit in what can only be described as a poor game.
Only score in the first half of this Swalec League division one west clash was a penalty by Simon Daniel, which saw Dunvant lead 3-0 at the break.
Whitland outside-half Carwyn Jones brought the scores level after 16 minutes of the second half with a penalty of his own, having earlier missed with a previous attempt.
Indeed, it took until the 33rd minute of the half to see the only try of the game. After a half-break by centre and skipper for the day, Lee Glanville, he kicked through and fullback Will Davies beat winger Aled Jones to the touchdown.
The try went unconverted, but two minutes from the end, Carwyn Jones put the game out of the reach of Dunvant with his second penalty and brought this dismal game to a conclusion - much to the relief of the crowd and no doubt the players, who can not be happy with their own and the team's performance.
Man-of-the match accolade, though, went to Raff Williams.

Whitland 2nds 3
Whitland Seconds performed well in this Carmarthen Tyre Services League match, but were outmuscled and lost by 36 points to three, their only points coming from the boot of Wayne Morris with a penalty.
Whitland Youth 36 pts. Pembroke Youth 0
Whitland Youth produced yet another good team performance in this RAF Careers League match against their Pembroke counterparts. Despite some key players missing through injury, their replacements filled their boots with aplomb.
Pembroke pushed them all the way, especially up front, but the young Borderers kept their 100 per cent record intact for the season as they scored five tries without reply.
In the first half, Whitland bagged three touchdowns through centre James Stephenson, winger Iestyn Scourfield and outside-half Jonathan Thomas, with Stephenson converting two and also landing a penalty to see his side lead 22-nil at the break.
In the second half, Whitland scored two further tries. Winger James Davies got one of them, while James Stephenson crossed for his second and also converted both to take his personal points tally for the afternoon to 21 and a winning scoreline of 36 points to nil.
Cowbridge Ladies 67 pts. Whitland Ladies 15
