Tenby welcomed its second Royal visitor in just over a week on Friday.

A rousing round of applause greeted His Royal Highness the Duke of Kent when he arrived at the town's lifeboat station to name a new Tamar class vessel.

And with the visit came high praise from the Duke, the president of the RNLI, for the 'magnificent' facilities at the boathouse.

Among the first to meet the Duke, first cousin to Queen Elizabeth II, was Mr. Freddie Broomhead, lifeboat operations manager, and Tenby coxswain Graham Waring and station mechanic Stephen Lowe.
