HRH The Duke of York provided a high profile boost for local businesses when he visited Pembrokeshire yesterday (Thursday), in his capacity as the UK's Special Representative for International Trade and Investment.
Prince Andrew's itinerary had a distinct maritime theme and was planned around the Pembroke Dock area, although he took the opportunity to meet a wide range of companies operating across a variety of industry sectors throughout the county at a lunch hosted by the WDA at Lamphey Court Hotel.
As well as touring the Ledwood Mechanical Engineering company, The Duke visited TS Warrior - the Pembroke Dock Sea Cadet Unit 617's base, where he inspected the ship's company and addressed the unit, before boarding the Milford Haven Port Authority's pilot cutter 'Hakin' for a short journey down the Milford Haven waterway to view sites for LNG terminals and other industrial developments.
